AMO SILENCED IN LANZAROTE

Jan 10, 2023

Lanzarote, Spain – Irish performer “Amo” was forced to halt his performance at the popular Seaview bar in Puerto del Carmen on Monday evening with local police citing overcrowding. The crowd, made up of mostly holiday makers, were deeply disappointed as they were in the middle of an encore when the show was stopped.

In recent weeks, Amo’s shows at the Seaview have been drawing larger and larger crowds, with his music and stage presence winning over more and more fans. His performances have become one of the hottest events in Puerto del Carmen.

The interruption of Amo’s performance, however, raises the question of whether or not his Friday and Monday evening gigs will continue. The performer, who is mostly based in New York City, has grown to love the venue and its patrons and was looking forward to continuing to entertain the crowd there.

Updates on this situation will be available on Amo’s website, www.amo-music.com. In the meantime, fans are encouraged to continue to show their support by following his social media pages and spreading the word about his music.

Irishman Making Waves in Lanzarote

December 19, 2022

Irish performer Amo is making waves at The Seaview in Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote with his energetic and entertaining live performances. He takes to the stage every Friday and Monday evening from 6-8pm, although the enthusiastic crowd often keeps him going until 9pm.

Amo, who is mostly New York City based, starts off his set with some easy listening hits from artists such as The Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel, Tom Petty, and Bruce Springsteen. However, as the evening progresses, it quickly turns into a full-blown party with singalongs and impressive guitar solos, including one played with a Guinness pint glass. The set list picks up pace with passionate covers of U2, Coldplay, Oasis, Snow Patrol and King of Leon. Amo doesn’t shy away from experimenting with different genres either, as he has been known to perform a hip hop version of a well-known Irish ballad. Even his ballads are far from slow and somber, as he injects them with exhilarating guitar solos.

One of Amo’s original songs, “One Night Stand,” has become a hit not only in the bars of NYC but also with Irish and English tourists in Puerto del Carmen. Crowds of passersby often stop in the street to see what all the commotion is about.

If you’re visiting Puerto Del Carmen, you won’t want to miss the chance to see Amo perform live. A list of his upcoming appearances can be found on his website at www.amo-music.com.
